CALL FOR ENTRIES

STARS (also known as the South Trenton Area Residents' Society), is seeking "Heartists" of all ages to decorate wooden hearts for their 1st Annual Hearts and Stars Silent Auction.

This is a free event that supports STARS' efforts to create a community garden in their neighborhood.  There are no rules, they just ask that you be creative.

PART ONE

Hearts are free and should be picked up and returned to the following locations starting Wednesday January 20th through Saturday, Feb. 20th:

PART TWO

EXHIBIT AND SILENT AUCTION

The Hearts and Stars exhibit and silent auction will take place at Artworks on Saturday February 27 from 6:00 - 9:00pm. All proceeds from the sale of Hearts will be invested in the STARS community garden fund.

There will also be a one day, curated show called "Depictions of Trenton". All mediums will be accepted (paintings, photographs, sculpture, poetry, found objects, etc.) and must include Trenton in the subject matter.  75% of any "Depictions of Trenton" sale goes to the artist with the remainder invested in the garden fund.

"Depictions of Trenton" artwork must be ready to hang, if applicable, and delivered no later than Saturday, Feb. 20th to an address that can be found at www.trentonstars.org.
