The A-Team Show at Artworks

Fans of creativity your sport is in season. Come out and support your team, the A-Team, as these artistic athletes from the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen (TASK) hold their annual show at Artworks.

The A-Team show begins with an opening reception at Artworks' main gallery in Trenton on Saturday, Nov. 21 from 6-9 p.m. The show continues through Jan. 2, 2010. This year's opening reception at Artworks will also showcase the burgeoning creative arts programs at TASK, featuring readings of original poetry by artists of The SHARE Project, the newly formed performing arts group at TASK and a performance by The FunkTASKtics, SHARE's new band.

Each year A-Team artists present a kaleidoscopic group show at Artworks, with abstract and figurative work of every shape and size. The A-Team show is a testament to the indomitable creative spirit burning within all of us. Every A-Team artist participates in the art program at the TASK in Trenton. The A-Team show brings together the best of their work produced over the past year.

All fans of art, poetry and music are invited to experience the A-Team show, and the Nov. 21 opening reception. Artworks is located at 19 Everett Alley in Trenton. Gallery hours are Tuesdays, Thursdays 12-8 p.m., Saturdays 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and by appointment. For information and directions go to www.artworkstrenton.org or call 609-394-9436.
