ADDITIONAL VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

LEVEL 1: Volunteer at the event (3 Hour Shifts)
Art All Night - Trenton requires an army of volunteers to ensure that the event runs smoothly. And Just like Uncle Sam, Art All Night - Trenton 2009 NEEDS YOU!   You’re sure to have a great time and you get a free “Art All Night - Trenton 2009” T-shirt too!

Most volunteers will be asked to watch over the art on display. Others will be needed to staff the information table, sell t-shirts or manage the parking.

Why not organize a contingent of your officemates or a bunch of neighbors to take on a specific shift? Don’t be afraid to volunteer as a single person either – two years ago two single volunteers met at Art All Night and are still dating to this day!

LEVEL 2: Volunteer in the weeks surrounding the event
Promoting Art All Night-Trenton to the public and preparing the Roebling Wire Works (RWW) facility is a monumental undertaking that requires intense effort in the weeks preceding and following the actual event.  Help will be needed in the following areas:

Before the Event

After the Event

  • Distribute 50 Lawn Signs
  • Retrieve 50 Lawn Signs
  • Distribute 1,000 postcards
  • Help take down gallery walls
  • Help erect the gallery walls
  • Help take down kiosks
  • Help build event kiosks
  • Return equipment and supplies from RWW
  • Transport equipment and supplies to RWW

  • Join the I AM Trenton Community Foundation as it goes to door to door to promote the event in some of Trenton’s underserved communities

LEVEL 3: Join the Art All Night Planning Committee
The Art All Night-Trenton Planning Committee assists the Art All Night-Trenton Event Director in producing the event.  The Committee consists of 16 Captains each of whom plays an intricate role in producing a successful event.

The “approximate” monthly commitment is about 10 hours except for June.  June is about 20 to 25 hours.  Each Captain needs to attend a monthly Planning Committee meeting that lasts about 2 hours.  This is a volunteer opportunity. Positions still needed are described at the top of this page.
