FIRST ANNUAL ART ALL NIGHT FILM FESTIVAL TO PREMIERE JUNE 16-17
Trenton, NJ – May 22, 2012 – Coming to a historic factory building near you … the first annual Art All Night Film Festival, premiering June 16-17. From independent films and shorts, to animation, music videos and school projects, Art All Night-Trenton organizers are casting an open call for film submissions to run throughout the 24-hour event. The goal of the first annual Art All Night Film Festival is to showcase as many different types of film and video pieces as possible – all submissions from artists of every skill level are welcome and encouraged.

With more than 15,000 guests expected to attend Art All Night-Trenton 2012, the inaugural film festival presents a unique opportunity for visual media artists of every skill level to showcase their work in front of a broad audience of art lovers. Artists can submit a film for consideration by filling out an online submission form by Friday, June 1 and sending in a DVD of their work by mail (details below).

Art All Night-Trenton event director, Cathy Campbell, explains, “Over the past several years, we’ve heard from Art All Night attendees that they’d love to see a more formally organized film component at the event. We loved the idea, so this year we’re creating a dedicated screening space for the films, with quality audio and video, and an advance schedule of show times. It’s a festival within a festival!”

Art All Night Film Festival committee captain Joshua Birkhimer Borden, of Industrial Scorpion Film & Design, adds, “We’re constantly trying to expand the reach and appeal of Art All Night. Film and video are inherently interactive mediums that invite people to pause, watch and listen, and start conversations – and that’s exactly the kind of energy we’re hoping to generate at the Art All Night.”

Submission Procedure (Complete details and instructions available online.)

  1. Complete the online submission form
  2. Submit works on DVD format ONLY, with a protective case, entry title and name of entrant (include a self-addressed stamped envelope only if you’d like your DVD returned)
  3. Mail DVDs to: Art All Night 2012 Film Festival Film Submission / 417 Farnsworth Ave. Bordentown, NJ 08505
