REGION’S LARGEST ART FESTIVAL NOW RECRUITING VOLUNTEERS
Trenton, NJ – May 9, 2012 – The organizers of Art All Night – Trenton 2012 are once again seeking event volunteers as the June 16-17 art and music festival draws nearer. Last year, a record-breaking 500 volunteers helped bring Art All Night to life for more than 13,000 guests during the 24-hour event. Trenton's historic Roebling Wire Works building will transform into a pop-up art gallery and music venue over Father’s Day weekend, and event organizers are hoping for another record-breaking volunteer turnout.

Volunteers can sign up for one or more three-hour shifts throughout the 24-hour event, using a quick online volunteer form. Assignments range from helping with art intake and event set-up, to directing visitors and staffing the retail areas. As a ‘thank you’ for their commitment, each volunteer will receive a free commemorative Art All Night 2012 T-shirt at one of two orientation and training sessions scheduled at Roebling Wire Works (675 S. Clinton Ave.) - Friday, June 8 at 6 p.m. OR Sunday, June 10 at noon.

“Art All Night – Trenton has always drawn a phenomenal group of volunteers, and that’s one of the main reasons we’re able to pull off an event of this scale,” says event director Cathy Campbell. “All of the planning that goes into Art All Night throughout the year ultimately relies on this dedicated and enthusiastic team once the doors open.”

This year’s volunteer recruitment effort is being led jointly by seasoned “Art All Nighters” Diana Moore and Jessi Franko.  According to Moore, who is also an ArtWorks board member, “Many of our volunteers return year after year to be a part of this exciting event.  It’s become an annual tradition, and they often bring friends and family to volunteer with them.” Franko adds, “These people aren’t just in it for the free T-shirt. They are dedicated and hard-working, and most of them stay to enjoy the event before their shift starts and long after it ends.”
